About the Company

How long has Soaring Electric been making energy storage PCS?

Soaring was founded in 2002 and has focused on three-phase grid-connected power converters for 24 years. Energy storage converters have been a core product line since 2008–2012, when we released our first self-developed storage converter and delivered State Grid’s first solar-storage microgrid system.

How large is Soaring’s manufacturing capacity?

40 GW per year across four bases — Beijing (R&D and pilot), Shenzhen (20GW/yr), Changzhou, and Inner Mongolia Ulanqab (20GW/yr).

Product Selection

Which PCS model should I choose?

As a rough guide: ES-215K for distributed applications; ES-630K to ES-2750K for small and mid-scale; ES-3450K/ES-3550K for large utility-scale; ES-4000K to ES-6000K for GW-class. Liquid-cooled models suit high ambient temperature sites. Contact an engineer with your capacity, application and grid country for a specific recommendation.

What is the difference between a PCS and an integrated cabin?

A PCS is the converter alone. An integrated cabin packages the PCS with the medium-voltage transformer, water chiller and HV switchgear in one pre-wired, factory-tested unit — 20%+ smaller footprint, 40%+ higher power density, IP65 rated, and far fewer site interfaces to commission.

Do you offer 800V AC?

Yes. Both 690V and 800V AC variants are available across the ES Series.

Air-cooled or liquid-cooled?

Liquid cooling suits high power density and high ambient temperature environments — ES-215K, ES-3550K, ES-5000K and ES-6000K are liquid-cooled. Air-cooled models remain appropriate for moderate climates and simpler O&M.

Technology

What is grid-forming, and do I need it?

Grid-following inverters synchronise to the grid’s existing voltage and frequency. Grid-forming inverters establish those references themselves and provide synthetic inertia. You need grid-forming if you are connecting into a weak grid, a high-renewable node, or an off-grid system — or if your grid code requires it. Soaring’s GFM control was in China’s first batch of CPRI certifications in 2023.

Is >99% efficiency the peak or the weighted efficiency?

>99% is the maximum conversion efficiency, achieved through the three-level topology Soaring introduced in 2016. Ask an engineer for the weighted efficiency curve for a specific model and load profile.

Why does 10ms switching matter?

The Chinese national standard allows 100ms for a charge-to-discharge transition, and most of the industry lands between 20 and 100ms. Soaring does it in 8.5ms. Below 10ms, a storage station qualifies for primary frequency regulation markets that slower systems cannot access.

Are your products CE certified?

The ESG-2500K export model carries CE certification under EN 61727, EN 62116, IEC 62477-1, IEC 61000-6-2 and IEC 61000-6-4. Soaring also holds TUV and G59 certification, plus ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Which countries have you delivered to?

15+ countries including the UK, Germany, Turkey, USA, Brazil, India, Maldives, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, DRC Congo, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.

Battery Test Systems

What voltage range do your test systems cover?

0.5V to 2,500V — the widest range in the industry. Cell testing covers 0.5–5V, module 5–250V, pack up to 1,200V, cluster 50–2,500V, and DC cabin 100–2,000V.

How accurate are they?

±0.05%FS current accuracy with adaptive multi-range switching. Switching speed under 3ms; data recording interval 5ms.

Do you supply complete automated lines?

Yes — both pack and module automated test lines, including transport automation, EOL testing, and the production line management system. SyAuto 3.0 is the current generation. Energy feedback efficiency reaches 95%, which materially cuts test electricity cost.

What is the lead time?

It depends on scale, configuration and current production load. Contact us with your capacity and required delivery date.

Do you support on-site commissioning?

Yes. Soaring holds the Electric Power Installation & Repair Qualification and provides installation support, commissioning, grid-connection testing and handover.
